The Blog is back!
We have changed a lot since our last blog post. We hosted a successful provincial conference last summer and are gearing up for another exciting chance to bring Volunteer Centres together this October. Our PREB-Ontario program has become Achieve Ontario with some rebranding efforts. We are now using the slogan “Believe it. Achieve it.”. This slogan has a lot more meaning and power and we are excited to talk more about that in an upcoming post.
We have 2 new additions to the OVCN Staff. We have hired Spencer Wyllie as our CCVI Project Coordinator and Lauren Galenkamp as our Administrative Assistant. Both are very able young women who bring a lot to our team.
Our social media accounts not only have new life but also a new platform. We have recently joined Instagram, a dynamic and popular platform. We are lucky enough to be having some great success already on the platform. (You should go check it out: https://www.instagram.com/ovcnetwork/)
Speaking of our social media, we are hoping to launch a new social media campaign very soon. It will be called #FridayFeature. It will cast a spotlight on one of our incredible Volunteer Centres and what they are up to.
Finally, you may be wondering when the next blog post will happen. This blog is now becoming a regular event. We will start with a schedule of once a month on the first Monday of every month. As you may have realized, this post is not on the first Monday of the month. In fact, it’s at the end of the month. We are just excited to get going and there will be another post on the first Monday of July.
